Shannon Morris-Reade a 2x former Comets assistant coach, Lindenwood University, and BCIT graduate, will be back joining us this season in a new role. Shannon served as the captain for the Lindenwood University Lions, where she received a Bachelor's in Science and a minor in Health and Wellness. A product of the BCEHL, where Shannon played all four years of u18 hockey, Shannon also served on team British Columbia twice.

Melanie Jue
Head Coach

Melanie has 20+ years of experience at her disposal at just about every level of our game. She is a former NCAA Div 1 assistant coach and CSSHL head coach at POE/Rink Academy, where she spent time developing countless athletes to NCAA Div I, III, and USport Scholarships. Melanie played collegiately at Cornel University, where she had a successful career as a dual-sport athlete in both ice and field hockey while completing a bachelor of science in applied economics and management. She recently returned home to BC after years playing and coaching professionally in China and will continue to serve as a team China's assistant coach for the IIHF World Championships.

Assistant Coach

Freshly off of her first season as an assistant coach with the Comets, Kaely is back and ready for more!! In addition to her duties, Kaely will also be serving as our academic liaison, helping our girls on ice, class, and in preparation for post-secondary enrolment! Kaely played ACAC hockey for the Red Deer Queens where she played a pivotal role in winning a championship title.

Megan Taylor
Assistant Coach

Megan Taylor, a 2x former Comets assistant coach and Western University graduate, will be back joining us this season. Megan has a decorated history both as a player and coach. Megan served as the assistant captain on the nation championship-winning Western University Mustangs where she received a Bachelor in Honours Business Administration. Additionally, Megan helped the Comets to a provincial championship title in the 2018/2019 season!
